St. Mary's Dietitian Named Arkansas Dietetic Association's Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year

Rogers, AR (March 31, 2005) - Molly Miller, M.S., L.D., R.D., clinical dietitian at St. Mary’s Hospital, has been named the Arkansas Dietetic Association’s Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year.

The award’s purpose is to recognize competence and activities of younger dietitians in the Arkansas Dietetic Association and to encourage their continued participation in Association affairs. To be considered for the award, an applicant must be a member of the American Dietetic Association, 35 years old or younger, who actively participates in the state, local and national associations and demonstrates leadership and concern for the promotion of optimal health and nutritional status of the population. Miller, 30, has held two offices as a member of the Arkansas Dietetic Association’s Northwest Arkansas District, President-Elect/Program Chair (2002-2003) and President (2003-2004).

A native of Rogers, Miller earned a bachelor’s of science degree from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, and a master’s of science degree from the University of Arkansas. She has been an employee of St. Mary’s since 1998. She will be presented with the award at a ceremony in Little Rock on Friday, April 1.
