St. Mary's Foundation Showhouse to Feature Latest in Interior Design
Rogers, AR (April 22, 2005) – Design with a mission.
That's the premise for St. Mary's Hospital Foundation's second annual Showhouse
of Design. Built by Kyle Rogers & Jim Brassart of Old World Homes 7,000-square-foot
designer home, located in The Bluffs subdivision in Bentonville, opens for public tours
May 5-22, 2006.
Before the tours begin, however, the Foundation is hosting a Preview Party on Thursday,
May 4 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. For $50, party-goers have the opportunity to be the first
to tour the home and meet the participating designers. Heavy hors d’oeuvres are provided
and a cash bar is available at the party.
The Showhouse, this year designed in a traditional style, is open for tours on
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays from 10a.m.-3 p.m., and Sundays
from 1-4 p.m. The house is closed on Mondays.
As with last year's event, visitors have the opportunity to take a piece of the
Showhouse home with them. Every item in the home—including the home itself—is
for sale, with a portion of the sales benefiting the Foundation. Visitors can
also take advantage of a gift boutique featuring items from many area shops,
boutiques and artisans, which is open during Showhouse hours.
Those touring the home are also encouraged to stay and have lunch at the
Showhouse's café, which offers lunch from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Tuesdays
through Saturdays and a snack on Sundays.
Tickets to tour the home are $20 and are currently available at the following
locations throughout northwest Arkansas:
Tickets will also be available at the door once the house opens.
